I'm blogging

well, I've decided to get back on the wagon.  I'll start blogging and scrapbooking again.

But first I'm gonna go see my sister!!!!

I leave tomorrow for two weeks. My sister lives in Australia so I don't see her often.  Patrick has been such a sweetheart to let me book a flight for two weeks. He's staying home with the kids.

I will miss them desperately, but have a lot to look forward too as well. I've never left my family for more than two nights.  I wonder how Valentin will fare?  But I think Dominique will be the saddest. She gets a little teary eyed already, just talking about me leaving tomorrow.

So when I say that I'll start blogging and scrapbooking again, I mean in two/three weeks! :)

my mojo was MIA but now it's back

As Wednesday is my me-time day, I hit the scraproom and finally scrapped for fun (after about two months)!!!!

everything made with Studio Calico kits, except "no modelling" made with the JBS Mercantile kit.

And now I'm gonna spend the rest of the afternoon getting my hands dirty with paint and ink!

Sorry to have left some of you wondering what was up.  Just got back from a two-week vacation in Lanzarote, one of the Canary Islands.  As I was typing my last blogpost, Patrick walked by and said "are you blogging about going on holidays?" I said I was. He then answered that wouldn't be too smart, giving more risk for burglary.  So I ended up typing that I was taking a break for a while.

I have been in an incredible scrapdip, though.  I hope with the new photos I now have, that it will pass. I had NO inspiration whatsoever.  Also I have the new Dina Wakely class in my possession. So I'll whip out the brushes and paint and hopefully that will spark the creativity as well.

well here comes a long one.

during our Ascention-holiday, Patrick was in Spain with some friends. I took the kids to the Naturalis museum in Leiden.  Next time, we'll go without Valentin, so we can spend more time studying all the ancient bones and fossils etc.

this kids definitely loves his donut!  especially the icing!!! :)

I love the bond these two have.  Of course Pascal thinks his little brother is a pain in the ass sometimes  (most of the time) but he does get on his knees to play with him and cuddle with him and read him books etc.  Pascal lets Valentin be  and doesn't beg for hugs and it pays off! :)   Dominique and Valentin love each other as well, but she's more bossy and Valentin doesn't take too well to having two moms! :)

here are some photo's that I took during our longweekend in Schoorl.  It was gorgeous weather, so we hit the beach.  I love taking beach photos....the colors are always so stunning...(although I did spruce these up a bit) :)

Pascal has had Keyboard lessons since September. And had his first recital last week.  So cool to see!

Valentin's cousin gave him this Knight-shirt. Now he thinks he's a fearsome Knight!!! LOL

Dominique and I went to the Toppers' Concert on Friday the 12th, with my best friend and her daughter.  this is a huge Karaoke Concert led by three Dutch singers.  It was a grand party and Dominique (and we too) had an awesome time, dancing and singing!!!

I have been scrapping a bit again. Made this for OLW two weeks ago.

Pascal is taking a look at his new school now. He'll be home any minute! Can't wait to hear how it went. This afternoon, he and I will be doing some school-shopping.  It'll be good to have some time with him alone. :)

ps  we're having a blast in Schoorl. The weather is awesome. Been to the beach a few times. Out to dinner every evening. Dominique has a friend over, because her parents have to work today (Tuesday) and our kids have an extra day off.  I'll show some awesome photos of the kids that i made this weekend.

Once again I can smile

Well, I could smile all along, but it was with a little sense of shame.

I just got back from the dentist. After almost a year, the hole in my mouth has been filled. Finally. 

but i'm not done yet! grrrrrrrrrrr.

the surgeon struck the top part of the neigbouring tooth's nerve and root, killing the tooth. Now I have to have a rootcanaltreatment to prevent further discoloring!!!

You can bet your bottom dollars that I'm gonna make sure the hospital takes care of THAT bill!!!

Okay, got that off my chest.

okay I'm a little late, 'cause the challenge started on May 1st. But I've finally found time to get to my computer....we've been away for the weekend and the kids are back at school now.
